Ripped Fuel
is one of my favorite supplements. It is a product that is designed
to mimic the caffeine/ephedrine stack. TwinLab uses standardized
ma huang (334 mg) and guarana extracts (910 mg.) in an effort to hit the
magical 10:1 ratio of caffeine and ephedrine that you take with the CAE
stack. You would probably want to supplement with a tablet of aspirin
with this supplement to get the true benefits of the CAE stack which works
synergistically together to be an excellent fat burner. Two
capsules give you about 200 mgs. of the herbal equivalent of caffeine and
around 20 mgs. of ephedrine. You also get 200 mcg. of chromium picolinate
and 100 mg. of L-Carnitine to help increase the fat burning potential of
this product.
I have used
this product and still do quite often. This one will work wonders
for you like the CAE stack but is somewhat easier to take since there are
only 2 capsules to take as opposed to 3 pills with the other stack but
all that is a moot point if you take aspirin with it. Some people
say that it is not as effective as the CAE stack but I see no dropoffs
at least in myself from using this over the CAE stack. The recommended
dosage is 6 capsules per day: 2 in the morning, 2 in the afternoon,
and 2 at night. I would not try taking this too late though if you
want to sleep at night (I found out about that one the hard way).
This product works bigtime and I give it my full recommendation.
I like supplements that give results and you will see results within 2
weeks of using this product. They now also have a new version of
Ripped Fuel that does not contain ma huang(ephedrine) but I would think
that this version would not be as effective.
Side effects can include: feeling agitated, anxious, restless,
stomach aches, nausea, headaches, increased heart rate (some cases, irregular heart beat) can disrupt sleep patterns, especially if taken late at night. From what I've seen, the people
that complain about side effects do very little if
any exercise. The boost in energy is what makes many people get
the 'jittery', 'restless' feeling. Hit the gym and 'work off'
that excess energy, and you could feel a lot better. The thing
with most of these fat burners is that you just can't take them
without a good diet and a good workout. You can't expect the supplement
to do everything for you. After all, that's what they are - supplements,
meaning they supplement your diet and workouts.
