Ribose Dietary Supplement
 What is Ribose?

Ribose is a pentose (5 carbon sugar) that is naturally found in the diet.
It provides the backbone of DNA, RNA and adenine nucleotides (ATP, ADP and
AMP).The pentose phosphate pathway produces a chemical called PRPP, which
is then used in the synthesis or salvaging of ATP in the muscle cell.  It
is proposed that ribose supplementation will bypass the limiting factors
in this pathway to increase PRPP synthesis, and enhance the restoration of
ATP levels in the cell if these  are  reduced by exercise.

      Why
      Ribose?
It has been suggested that repeated sprints of
high-intensity exercise cause a reduction in the ATP and adenine
nucleotide pool in the muscle cell, and that ribose supplementation may be
effective in enhancing de novo synthesis and recycling of these
nucleotides, thus enhancing the recovery of the muscle ATP content.
Intense exercise causes a significant decrease in skeletal muscle energy
      levels.
In fact, it can take 3 days or longer for these energy levels to
recover! Recent studies show, however, that supplementing with high
quality ribose hastens energy recovery in all types of skeletal muscles.
This means you'll be able to work out longer and build muscle faster
because you will recover quicker from intense workouts, having the energy
to do more! Supplementation protocols in recent studies typically involve
daily doses of 10-20 g of ribose, and have targeted athletes undertaking
intermittent high-intensity exercise programs (weight training, interval
      training).
Whether you're just feeling sluggish and rundown, or suffer from poor
cardiovascular health, or you're a high performance athlete looking for
that extra edge, BIOENERGY Ribose is truly The Absolute Energy.
 D-Ribose Side Effects
Similar to creatine, Ribose is a natural
ingredient found in our bodies. There are no known side effects
of Ribose, yet, and Ribose is believed to be safe. Reasearch has
found that over usage of Ribose led to diarrhea, but this should
                not happen taking recommended dosages.
