Prohormones Supplements Information
Prohormone supplements are said to raise a persons testosterone levels. There are a number of types of prohormone supplements, the most common being "Andro" and "NorAndro" products. Also Tribulis products were designed to stimulate the bodies natural production of testosterone. It was originally used to help impotence in older men, but now is mainly used to rejuvenate your natural testosterone production. This is important after a prohormone cycle because the use of a prohormone will usually suppress your natural testosterone.
Some bodybuilders use prohormones as alternative to anabolic steroids. As of yet no long term scientific studies have not been done to prove this. The most popular prohomones include:
Androstenedione (Andro)

Prohormone Side Effects
It is important to note that prohormones are not completely safe or free of side effects, and the decision to use prohormones should not be taken lightly. Some of the more common side effects may include acne, hair loss and even gynecomastia.
Prohormones Banned
Senate Bill 2195 also called the Andro Ban was passed by unanimous consent in the United States Senate on October 8th, 2004 and has been signed into law by President Bush.
By passing this bill, the Congress has amended the Controlled Substances Act to include virtually all of these prohormone supplements. The Controlled Substances Act was passed in 1990 and at that time all steroids were classifed as "Schedule III" substances and were put in the same category as heroin, cocaine and other similar narcotics. Now, with the passage of Senate Bill 2195, they have added prohormones to the Controlled Substances Act.
