Workout Routine To Gain Weight And Muscle

Gaining good quality weight without doing a workout routine will sound like a complete paradox to most weight trainers and bodybuilders. Simply because something that all weight trainers and bodybuilders all know is that gaining muscle comes from progressive resistance.

But it is good to break away from the regular weight training routine if you have started to plateau and you are no longer getting the gains that you used to. There are many innovative workouts that you can do using only your bodyweight as resistance and you can still get gains.

It goes without saying here that if you want to gain weight that you are eating correctly. This simply means that you are eating at least every three hours during your day and that you are eating high quality protein with good complex carbohydrates.

There are a number of things that you need to consider when you reach a plateau of any kind and stop gaining weight. The first thing that you need to consider is over-training which basically means that you are simply not getting enough rest between your workouts.

The second thing that you need to consider when you have reached that dreaded plateau is intensity. This is something that you can vary greatly by training without using any routines that you might have used in the past. There are many different kinds of variations on a workout that you can do without using a regular routine.

These can include anything from odd lifts, kettle bells or working with your own bodyweight. All of these methods you can get way past failure and still get the quality muscle gains that you are searching for.

Workout routines are certainly not the only way to gain good quality muscle and you might have to start thinking out of the box but you can still get a good quality, intense workout without using a regular training routine. Any variations that you can come up with will be good for your training as well as your mindset.

In fact stopping your regular workout routines might very well be the best thing that you can do in order to break through that plateau that you may have reached. Many of the top professional bodybuilders will tell you that they stop their regular routines for a week or two and do something completely different for just that reason.
