Burn Fat By Eating

Wow, can't get much easier than that, right? Well it's not quite that
simple, but it's simple enough to be worth doing. Here's the bad 
news: there's a bit of background information to read in order to 
understand it.

Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE)

In very basic terms, you consume energy in food and drink, which your
body uses for fuel. Your total daily energy expenditure is your total 
fuel usage. If you consume more energy than you expend, you'll put on 
fat, and if you expend more energy than you consume, you'll burn 
fat.

Most people like driving their cars, which uses fuel. Most people are
less excited about putting fuel into their cars, because it costs 
money. That's why better fuel economy (i.e. more miles per unit of 
fuel) is generally considered a good thing. Funnily, most people like
putting fuel into their bodies (eating and drinking), but are less 
excited about using up that fuel. That's why people get fat. That's 
also why we need to make our bodies as fuel inefficient as possible. 

60-75% Resting metabolic rate – yep, most of your energy is actually
used up just to keep your lazy body alive even when you're doing 
nothing. 

Your Thermic Effect of Activity at work

15-30% Thermic effect of activity – this is all the energy that goes 
into moving your body around, including operating the remote, 
exercising, shaving each morning, etc.

10% Thermic effect of feeding – this is the energy you use up when 
eating digesting your food.

What's that, you say? I thought the whole point of eating was to GET
energy, not use it up? Well your organs have to work to digest it, 
and that uses energy.

There are some foods that when you eat them raw your body will burn
more calories digesting them than are in the foods themselves. 

Here is a list of some of these "Negative Calorie Foods":

Apples, cranberries, lemon raspberries, strawberries, tangerines, 
asparagus, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, cucumber, green 
beans, lettuce, radishes, spinach, chili peppers, cilantro, garlic, 
onions, ginger, parsley, mustard seeds.

Eat more of the above foods and you can burn more fat just by 
eating!
