Posted by: Charly

I am just starting out and I want to get big and strong. I want to make sure I am doing this right so can someone please tell me - what is correct form for doing the bench press?

Correct form when doing a bench press starts with keeping your feet on the ground and your back flat on the bench. Your elbows should be at a 90% angle and you should take note as always to breathe out on exhaustion. This means to suck in when you bring the bar to your chest. A suggestion from many top bodybuilders is that wherever the bar touches on your chest that is where you will be stimulating the most growth.
