Bodybuilding in the 1930s

I wonder if you might be able to help me, I have a plaque showing that my father was the winner in February 1939 of the monthly posing competition and it was presented by Superman.

I am resident in Ireland but my father lived in the UK. he passed away in 1996 and this has just been discovered.

I would like to see if l could find out more about this.
