Hi,
I was wondering what exercises I could do to make my waist wider (more muscular not fatter), because at the moment my waist width is smaller than the width of my pelvic bone and smaller than the width of my upper body, so it goes inwards which makes me look skinny and curvy. I've heard that deadlifts and swats can make you waist wider, is this true? I want to get my waist to the same width as my pelvic bone. I've tried doing deadlifts but I don't know if I'm doing them right because my lower back will hurt for seconds after and it will be hard to straighten.
Thank you

To get your waist wider you will have to build up your oblique muscles by doing such exercises as weighted side bends and oblique crunches.
Hope this helps,
Paul
