Your forearms are the one of the most used muscles. So they do not so to say blink an eye when you do normal repetitions and sets as you would do for every other muscle group.
Train your forearms till exhaustion and then give them a good rest. Look for different ways to train them: weights, hand grippers, isometrics for example. I wish you much success!
