Hello,
I just brought some whey protein and was wondering how often I should take it.
I work out daily between 1:30 and 2:30 so should I take it once a day before/after? or more?

The main purpose of protein supplementation is to maintain positive nitrogen balance thus maximising muscle building opportunity. That said it is advisable to use quality protein supplements between meals to ensure that protein is ingested every two to three hours. One of your protein drinks should be after your workout (the sooner after the better. I would take a carbohydrate drink/preparation before your workout.
One last point, if you are one of those people who wake in the middle of the night I would suggest a protein drink then as well.
