What does it mean to do bench press lock outs. I'm new to this and have no idea. could you explain in full detail? It will be of great help thank you.
It's when you straghtian out your arms till your elbows have no bend in them.
The lockout is usually performed on a bench in a power rack, set so that the entire range of motion is approx 10 -20cm. Essentially, it is a quarter range bench press at the top end, like when you see young guys benching twice what they can actually handle, but you let the power rack halt the bar at the bottom rather than using your arms.
