Mike Mentzer how much weight

Posted by: Robert

Good morning,

My question on Mike Mentzer's Heavy Duty Training is about the amount of weight you're supposed to use. Is there a way to determine how much weight I should be lifting for each of these exercises? Do I try and do a Max weight and do 80% of that? Or what would you recommend?

Thank you

The average weight you can lift depends on age, fitness level, and other factors.

What Mike Mentzer would tell you to do is try a weight that youn think you can do for 6 to 10 reps and if you get too many reps you add weight next workout, if you do too few reps you lower the weight next workout.

Also be sure to checkout the new Mike Mentzer High Intensity Training book at https://www.trulyhuge.com/mike-mentzer-book.html

If you have any other questions about Mike Mentzer or High Intensity Training email me and I'll get back to you with an answer as quick as I can.
