Eat and use natural, unheated honey for better health
Honey has been harvest from bees for as long as we have records. It’s been called the nectar of the Gods for good reason. It has many exceptional benefits. One thing you need to be aware of, though is the quality of honey you get.
Everything I write only pertains to honey that has never been heated. The low cost honey you see in the aisles of your supermarket in plastic bottles are nothing more than liquid sugar. Worthless.
It takes a lot more time and effort to harvest the honey from the bee’s hive without heating it up. The commercial way is to heat up the hive and pour it out, except that honey loses all its beneficial properties. High quality honey is literally scraped off. It will solidify very quickly and have a much richer taste too (although the taste mainly depends on the type of flower the bees visited.)
Unheated, natural honey is full of enzymes, flavonoids, antioxidants and antimicrobial properties. Because of these properties it:
Make sure you only get honey that has never been heated. Carefully check the labels if you’re buying it in a store or confirm with the bee keeper if you’re buying straight from the source.
