Did Mr. Mentzer really keep proteins low in order to rip up for contest? Or was that BS? That's confusing??
He also talked about going as low as 1,800 calories to lean up!! At a weight of 220? That makes "zero" sense? Do you know the thought process behind this?
Mike followed a diet of 60% carbs, 25% protein, and 15% fat.
All I can say is that Mike was a man of extremes, and the steroids he took before a contest kept him from losing muscle while on such a low calorie diet, I myself wouldn't do such an extreme low calorie diet because I am natural.
