Q. Can you give us some background about yourself?
A. During the last 41 years I have personally trained many thousands of students, but I have trained many more thousands of students across the World, without ever meeting them in person. How did I do that? With my books and videos, and using the power of Computers and the Internet to allow access to my training and to deliver my training books and videos across the street or across the World. I have now written 38 books and produced dozens of videos. I was one of the First Martial Artists to write books showing how techniques from the Martial Arts can be used in activities outside of the Arts. I wrote my first book in 1976, The End of Injury. It was the first book to show athletes how to prevent needless injuries by using proven Martial Arts techniques. The philosophy was simple and easy to understand.
Some of my old books in print sell for up to $75 for One book on the Internet. Some of my videos sell for $100. Yet this single program…Black Belt in a Box contains 34 complete books, over 3,000 pages and 5,000 photos, plus almost 6 hours of videos on DVD. If you were to buy each book and video separately in hard cover and video tape, it would cost you up to $500 or more. Yet this entire package is yours for less than the cost of a single book or single video.
There is something for everyone at every level of Martial Arts Training, from a Black Belt to a White Belt. There are books on Jiu Jitsu, fighting, one steps, street techniques, karate, children’s self defense, wrestling, wining any fight, women’s self defense, 9 books for weapons training, martial arts fitness and martial arts “secrets”, oriental philosophy, mental conditioning. There are 34 individual books plus 5 hours of DVD training in weapons, martial arts secrets, injury prevention, and kick boxing secrets with Master Troy Dorsey. Plus it includes a year subscription to new books that I am writing and that you can download for Free throughout the year.
Q: What got you started in fitness?
A: I started in fitness because of my Martial Arts 46 years ago and have never stopped working out.
Q: What is it about fitness that you love so much?
A: I love the way it makes me feel and the way it makes me look. Also the health benefits last a lifeime.
Q: What adversities have you had to overcome?
A: I had to work very very hard for a lot of years to begin to build my body, due to my extremely high metabolism rate. But once I got a great body, I have kept it for 46 years. In fact, I look better at 60 than I did at 40, and I looked great at 40.
Q: What are your favorite and least favorite exercises?
A: I like them all, but don’t enjoy heavy weights anymore, because it hurts my tendons and ligaments. I find I can get the same benefits with light weights done a lot of times.
Q: What are your tips for the beginner, intermediate and advanced bodybuilders?
A: In the beginning there is very little you can do that won’t get you great results, because your body is not used to lifting and hard exercise and so you achieve immediate huge results. The secret is to keep working harder as you get older, to keep the results.
Q: Where do you stand on the use of steroids and supplements?
A: I take a lot of supplements, but No Steroids, the side effects last a lifetime and they are simply not worth it. You can get great results with supplements that are Legal.
Q: What are your future goals?
A: To look as good at 80 as I do at 60.
Q: What is the toughest part about fitness for you?
A: Getting old is tough enough, there is nothing tough about staying fit.
Q: Is there anything else you would like to say?
A: Good luck to all . And remember the most important thing in your life is a personal relationship with Jesus.
