The Adonis effect is the total visual impact that you or anyone else looking at you will have when looking at your body. It is measured specifically comparing your shoulder width to the width of your hips and lastly your height. It takes these three figures and gives you a total Adonis reading.
The Adonis Index (A.I) is something that has now been well researched and although these readings are obviously not specific to your genetic somatotype or anything specific to you personally it is nevertheless a great way to measure your total body "look" that you have.
For example a reading of 6.1 is said to be very close to a perfect AI reading which means that you have all the right bumps in the right places. But it also indicates that you have muscle on your shoulders, a narrow waist compared to your height and a body-fat of less than 10%.
The point is that no matter what your own specific somatotype is you can select the training and adapt your training to suit your own specific needs on achieving a perfect AI score. This makes a big difference in measuring and achieving results that you can see when trying to achieve that perfect score.
