Chrysin Benefits

What is Chrysin?

Chrysin is chemically extracted from Passiflora caerulea (blue passion flower) and is a naturally occurring flavone. Honeycomb also contains small amounts. Chrysin is available as an herbal supplement.

Benefits of Chrysin

Although the greatest benefits of Chrysin seem to be in athletes and bodybuilders, it is beneficial to anyone who participates in activities requiring increased energy levels. Football and baseball are good examples.

Another important benefit of Chrysin is its ability to increase testosterone while limiting the influence of estrogen.

Chrysin Estrogen

Chrysin is a superflavone that has the ability to block aromatase and inhibit aromatization. Basically, this means that it blocks the conversion of testosterone and androstenedione into estrogen.

Studies show that after the age of 30, a mans testosterone production decreases. If estrogen levels are still normal, they will virtually "turn off" the testosterone production. The higher the level of estrogen, the lower amount of testosterone will be produced. This is why Chrysin is important for blocking the conversion of male hormones into estrogen.

Chrysin Testosterone

For the same reasons as stated above, Chrysin is essential for the proper levels of testosterone for bodybuilders, athletes, or anyone who participates in high activity sports.

In order for the testosterone levels to stay normal and not get depleted, Chrysin blocks the transformation of testosterone into estrogen. This superflavone is perhaps the most important natural ingredient available for increasing the level of testosterone in the body.

Chrysin Bodybuilders

Studies have shown that supplementing with Chrysin causes testosterone levels to rise, which is extremely important for bodybuilders. The strenuous weight lifting and other endurance activities performed by bodybuilders uses an enormous amount of testosterone, which should be replaced. Testosterone is highly important for the development of muscle mass.

Chrysin Supplement

Chrysin supplements are recommended for anyone participating in high energy activities, particularly athletes and bodybuilders. These supplements help keep testosterone levels optimal, while decreasing the effect of estrogen.

Chrysin supplements are available at most health food and nutrition stores, and are widely available online as well.
